The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network (WVCAN) will host its third annual silent art auction at the Downtown Charleston ArtWalk April 16. The event will be held from 5 to 8 pm at Romano & Associates, 230 Capitol St., in Charleston.
There is no entry fee for the auction, and the public is invited to attend. Attendees have the chance to bid on artwork by talented West Virginian artists, while enjoying wine and light refreshments. The donated masterpieces will be a variety of media, and the proceeds will be split 50/50 with half going to the artist and half going to benefit services to child abuse victims in West Virginia.
The Art Auction is sponsored by Romano & Associates, and is part of “One With Courage,” and “Stand Up, Step Forward,” WVCAN’s statewide public awareness campaigns centered on protecting children from abuse and helping them speak up to report abuse.
