Rollercoaster at Gallery Eleven
Gallery Eleven, at 1025 Quarrier Street, will feature a collection of artwork from Tamarack Fine Artist, Amy Stout, titled Rollercoaster, during this month’s ArtWalk, April 16, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“This particular collection of artwork represents a year and a half long journey. I chose not to rush the process on this body of work, only creating during periods of intense joy, excitement, frustration, anger, or sorrow. Each was executed using oil pastels on acid free, heavy weight art paper; and they were a terrific emotional release. I intend to continue this series and will have rare showings as the collection grows.“ The artist invites you to come along on her Emotional Rollercoaster Journey.
Stout is a 2014 Tamarack Best of West Virginia artist, a member of Gallery Eleven, West Virginia’s oldest artist cooperative, and an active member of Charleston Art Group, “The little group with big ideas.”
