Michael Teel at the Charleston Ballet
Be sure to stop by the Charleston ballet during May ArtWalk.
View the artwork of Michael Teel, an artist who several years ago started painting a Painting a Day blog, which ran for one year. Within that year he managed to complete 100 small oil paintings and discuss his process and frustrations along the way. Not exactly a "Painting a Day", but he was satisfied with his efforts.
After the blog, he began exploring different subject matters from landscapes to figures. He has been accepted in several juried shows, most recently the 2014 West Virginia Allied Artists Juried Show at the Huntington Museum.
Teel has recently started a series of landscapes that focus on rural roads and pathways with an emphasis on the play of sunlight and shadow upon those vistas.
The Charleston Ballet studios are located on the Mezzanine Floor at 100 Capitol Street in the Security Building. For additional information call the Charleston Ballet office at 304-342-6541.
