The Charleston ballet will feature the artwork of Michael Teel, who specializes in figurative work and landscapes capturing the play of sunlight and shadow over objects, buildings and trees during ArtWalk Friday, Nov. 25.
He has work exhibited in juried art shows throughout the state and recently had two pieces selected for the West Virginia Culture and History Juried Show. His painting “Friends of Fossilized Carbon” is included in the state’s permanent art collection. Last year his show “Canaan to Charleston: Painting West Virginia by Michael Teel” was featured at The Art Emporium. He posts paintings and his thoughts on subject matter and process on his personal blog: www.michaelteel.com.
