Multiple Artists Showing at Capitol Conference Center
July 7, 2017
We will be showing these artists during July’s ArtWalk; Beverly Bisbee (Photography), Joanie Warner (Acrylic), Jacqueline Venus (Polymer clay sculptures), Alethia Stollings (Abstract) and J. Travis Morton: Acrylic painting, Traditional and Digital Art. Music will be provided by Footmad.
Alethia Stollings abstracts are intended to emphasize and express the concept of her subject(s). She enjoys using all mediums and many types of surfaces.
Jacqueline Venus is a Charleston, WV based artist. She works primarily in small-scale, polymer clay sculpture, but dabbles in a little bit of everything. Her works are a showcase of her many varied interests, including geek/pop culture icons, Anthropomorphic animal figures (“Sculptipals”), and pieces inspired by Pagan and Buddhist practices. In addition to her boho chic or darkly whimsical polymer clay figurines, Jacqueline's work includes wearable art pieces and dimensional paintings and prints which typify her playful approach to life and spirit of childlike exploration and wonder. She has created several collections but also takes commissions to create personalized pieces.
