Tonja Runyon at the Charleston Ballet for ArtWalk
Tonja Runyon will be at the Charleston Ballet studios on April 19th for Artwalk! Tonja Runyon is a local Tamarack juried artist residing in Hurricane, WV. She is known for her use of bold dramatic color and lighting. While Tonja has no formal education, she draws knowledge and expertise from landscape and wildlife artist, Abraham Hunter and Disney artist and imaginer, Joel Christopher Payne. She works in oils, acrylics and occasionally in pastels and pencil drawings. Tonja endeavors to obtain a sense of realism in her works. She enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife and sees art as a way of fulfilling her purpose by reminding us to appreciate the beauty God has given us. To her, art is therapy where one can release what is within and give a visual expression to those onlooking. #meetmedowntown
