Emily Wall and Shawn Lilly showing at the Charleston Ballet
We will be hosting Emily Wall and her son, Shawn, at the Charleston Ballet studios for May Artwalk.
Emily Wall grew up in Gauley Bridge and resides in St. Albans. An active volunteer in community, she stays busy helping with FestivALL, Arti Gras and other community committees. She has always loved to paint, draw, and sculpt and use those platforms to give back to the community through charitable donations and volunteerism. Emily was selected as the featured artist for the 2017 We Love Our Community Awards and you can find her work as street signs on Washington Street in Charleston, WV and in local area shops. She is also the mother of fellow artist Shawn Lilly!
Shawn Lilly is a Junior at St. Albans High School, where he plays percussion for the St. Albans High School Marching Dragons and St. Albans Concert Band, as well as bass guitar for the St. Albans Show Choir. He is also a member of the Kanawha Kordsmen and Youth Praise Team at First Baptist. Although his art experience is still in its early stages, he enjoys different mediums. Painting in acrylic and watercolor, sculpting and pencil sketching are among his favorites.
