The Art Store kicks off its warm weather gallery activities with Summer Salon: collections of works by our represented artists. Every few weeks throughout the summer we will feature the works of several artists. It’s a great way to see what’s fresh from the studio - or those last couple of pieces from a series.
The first big event will be ArtWalk FestivALL on Thursday, June 21 from 5 to 8 PM. This will be the public’s first chance to see our Summer Salon exhibit and a sneak peek of the illustration plates from Tom Beal’s soon to be released book.
On Friday evening, June 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM The Art Store will host a special book launch & signing party for “Bara Seal & Emily too” written by Tom Beal* and illustrated by Elea Paybins**, both from Charleston. The original art for the book will be on display and the author and illustrator will be available to talk about the illustrations and sign your book. After Friday, the book will be available for sale at Taylor Books on Capitol Street in Charleston.
