We will be showing photographer Mina Ghantous at July’s ArtWalk. Mina is a lover of art in all its forms, but she has always been distinctly interested in photography. Mina is a self-taught photographer, and her process evolved from using a simple digital camera to the iphone, which allows her unfettered access to capturing the unexpected. This past spring, she exhibited select favorite photos from the collection she has developed over the years for the first time at a solo show in Morgantown. An avid traveler, Mina’s body of work encompasses a variety of subject matter, including urban and rural scenery, people, unique places, and everything in between. Finding the extraordinary in the seemingly mundane is what drives her creative process and led to the namesake of her first show: “Moments Muted: Beauty in Unexpected Places.” She is exhibiting that collection here in Charleston during ArtWalk, with a few new additions. Mina lives in Morgantown, where she works as an attorney for Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso and continues to pursue her passion for photography.
