Romano Gallery hosting Alaina Hower

Alaina Hower moved to the mountains of Monroe County, West Virginia when she was three years old to live in a tiny tar paper shack with her parents, her dog and several cats. Her late father was a carpenter and a musician and her mother continues to be a gardener and an avid writer. Growing things and creating art have been a major part of her life since a very early age, and now, Miss Hower has a small but thriving cut flower business that she extends into the Fall and Winter months by harvesting native evergreens and hand making holiday wreaths.

Hower has been growing a variety of cut flowers for the last few years in Summers County, West Virginia. As a farmer florist she has grown and arranged flowers for dozens of weddings and events in the area. Hower resides in Greenbrier County and you can find her flower arrangements throughout the Spring and Summer months at a number of local businesses in Lewisburg. Last year holiday wreaths were added to her repertoire and she is excited about the upcoming holiday season. Hower is planning to singlehandedly make over one hundred wreaths to decorate homes and businesses throughout the Mountain State. You can find her on social media by following her page on Instagram @trueheartflowerfarm, and her website of the same name is currently under construction. Hower is filling her calendar for the 2019 growing season and accepting reservations for weddings and events at this time. Join her for Black Friday as she displays a variety of her hand crafted wreaths in Charleston at The Romano Gallery for the November 2018 ArtWalk.
