Rock City Cake Company having Katherine Pack, Jennifer Christensen, Brittany Kammerer and Capital Hi
We have are going to be rocking during Black Friday ArtWalk. We will be showing tie-dying by Katherine Pack, artist Jennifer Christensen, jewelry artist Brittany Kammerer and music by the Capital High School VIP’s.
Katharine Pack is a 30 year resident of the City of Charleston. She is currently a juried stained glass artisan at Tamarack, an enthusiastically colorful gardener, and completely in love with her newest medium, tie dye! For the last two years it has been her passion to master the art and “bring tie dye back!”!
Her first public debut was the East End Yard sale! It was not her intent to join the retail side of the event but when a small business owner begged her to join with the most fantastic layout to display her shirts, she thought why not.
She had no idea the shirts would be such a hit! People stopped to talk about the “good ‘ole days,” as they reminisced about their rides in VW Beetles and buses and Katherine even had one lady stop and talk about being at Woodstock!
Jennifer Christensen is dedicated to her purpose of creating art pieces that capture the natural beauty of the world. Her work is focused around photographs from her local and global travels. She loves the unadulterated beauty of diverse landscapes and cultures, which can be momentarily stopped in time and caught through a photo lens and then translated onto canvas. Jennifer works mostly in acrylic or watercolor, but her pieces also include photography.
Brittany Kammerer has two daughters Izabella, 5, and Elena, 3. Her kids and she love jewelry, so this summer, Brittany decided to become a Paparazzi Independent Consultant. All jewelry is $5.00 and necklaces come with matching earrings. Also, all jewelry is nickel and lead free. To view jewelry, please go to her link, www.paparazziaccessories.com/208178 or join her Facebook VIP group, “Brittany Kammerer’s Paparazzi VIP Group”.
The Capital High School VIPs are in their 30th year of entertaining and competing throughout WV, Oh, and Indiana. The VIPs are known for their dynamic vocal performances and inspiring show themes. Students involved in VIPs must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or better as well as be involved with their school and community. VIP Show Choir is funded by parents and relatives, booster fundraisers, and community donations. The funds raised/donated assist in student costume expenses, travel, set, music, choreography, and competition fees. Without community support and donations, this talented group of students would not be able to share their talent and love for singing and dancing throughout the Midwest.
