"Brian Ray is best known for his two distinct, contrasting styles of artwork. The deep blacks with a gray color scale of his pen and ink work as well as the contrasting style of his vibrant, colorful toned paintings. Ray, from Poca, West Virginia, started drawing regularly at age 7 after he discovered he loved drawing dinosaurs at school. Mainly self-taught, he studied graphic art and painting at Marshall University. His work focuses mostly on living subjects."
