WV Market Gallery featuring Danielle Hunt
We will be showing the work of Danielle Hunt this month.
Danielle Hunt is a West Virginia artist who resides in Kanawha County. Danielle’s love for West Virginia inspires her to create unique and relatable works throughout many mediums. Her depictions tend to lend themselves towards impressions and feeling – more so than realism.
The artwork Danielle creates highlights the numerous areas our state has to offer. Her love for the mountains was born early on in her life. Her family was always fond of traveling throughout West Virginia and exploring its wonders. She now has picked up this role with her husband and kids; taking them frequently to the places she fell in love with as a child.
Danielle’s work displays bright, colorful and upbeat imagery. Pigment is vivid, whether it’s acrylic or watercolors. Her work at times varies, in accordance to a client’s request. She regularly takes on commissions, has pieces on display at the WV Living Market at Snowshoe Mountain and local venues, as well as exhibited work alongside her students.
For most of her career Danielle has spent her time inspiring others’ creativity. She has been an art teacher at Stonewall Jackson Middle School in Kanawha County for nine years. There, Danielle has regularly entered student work in exhibits across West Virginia. Her students have won the KCS Art show numerous times, had work displayed at FestivAll and The Clay Center, created permanent murals at Capitol Market, exhibited work in the Tamarack Youth Gallery, and won the Governor’s First Lady ornament contest (to name a few).
